Alumni Meals

Alumni may receive three free meals in the dining room per year. Tickets for meals must be picked up beforehand in the Alumni Office. (These tickets are for alumni only).

CIU alumni prices: breakfast - $3.00; lunch - $3.50; dinner - $4.00.
Guest prices: breakfast - $5.00; lunch - $5.50; dinner - $6.00.
Children's prices: ages 0-2: free; ages 3-8: 50% off the guest price; ages 9 and up: same as guest price.

Church Health Consulting and Leadership Coaching

Dr. Roy King, seminary professor and former director of Alumni Ministries can help leaders diagnose problems and develop a strategic plan that may include other CIU faculty. Ministries served are asked to reimburse any travel and/or materials costs. Fees and honorariums are determined by those served after service is received. Gifts can be designated for Church Health.

Conference Services

The Conference Services Department of Columbia International University assists churches and other organizations by providing campus facilities and services for conferences, youth camps, and meetings which are for a religious, educational, or community purpose. Call the Conference Services office at ext. 5773 to make reservations or visit the Conference Services website for more information.

Curriculum Ministry Resource Department

The Curriculum Ministry Resources Department (CMRD), located in the lower level of the Ridderhof Building (below the Communications Department), has over 10,000 items for teaching the Bible to preschoolers through adults. Call (803) 807-5160 for information or visit the CMRD online.

Fitness Center

The Moore Fitness Center is located on CIU's campus behind the McQuilkin classroom building. Alumni may purchase memberships for a small fee. Amenities include an aerobics room, a free weights room, a full-size gymnasium, and a cardiovascular room with a full complement of circuit training, treadmills, recumbent bicycles and elliptical machines. Sports equipment may be borrowed from the front desk for up to one week at no charge.

Guest Pass - Class Audit Program

We are happy to offer the opportunity for CIU alumni to continue attending courses. There is no charge for the guest pass, and the benefit is unlimited. You may audit any course up to the level of your highest attained degree (i.e. a master's degree could use the guest pass for a bachelor or master's course. A bachelor's degree could audit Undergraduate courses.)

Please note the following restrictions:

Permission to audit classes under the guest pass is granted on a space available basis and is subject to audit/guest pass restrictions imposed by our accrediting associations.
Guest pass privileges do not apply to private music courses, language courses, internships, practicums, extension courses, field education courses and other courses identified as not available for audit.
Currently enrolled students do NOT qualify for the class audit program.

If you would like to take advantage of this program, return the completed audit form to the Alumni office for approval.

Guest Rooms

Please contact the reservation line directly at (803) 807-5525 or email alumniguestrooms@ciu.edu. Alumni Ministries does not book guest rooms.

Alumni graduates including undergrad, grad, seminary, certificate get one free night per year per household.

Rates for additional rooms or nights, or non-alumni are as follows:

Alumni, additional night (double occupancy) - $45 per night
Non-alumni (double occupancy) - $55 per night

Restrictions: The alumni price is non-transferrable, i.e., friends and relatives may not use this benefit in place of alumni. Benefit not applicable during Homecoming or other special events.

Library

Local or visiting alumni who want to check out books from the G. Allen Fleece Library at CIU may purchase an account for $10, which is good for ten years use of the library. Out-of-town alumni are welcome to search the library's catalog. Interlibrary loans are also available. Alumni also have access to the ATLA database. Assistance in using the database is available from CIU reference librarians. Email alumni@ciu.edu for user name and password

Transcripts

Need an official or unofficial transcript? All transcripts are processed in 3 to 5 business days. The registrar's office can provide 24 hour processing, when it is available. More information: CIU Registrar's Office
